Who These Terms Are From
DSM Safety Products, Inc. designs and manufactures patented one-hand safety banners and sling sleeves for people who are not in uniform when an incident starts. We are based in Sparks, Nevada. Where these terms say we or us, they mean that company. Where they say you, they mean whoever is using this website or placing an order through it.

What This Site Is
Two things: a description of what we make, and the front end of an ordering process that a person completes with you. It is not a finished checkout. Selecting a banner and a carry option takes you to the credential check rather than to a payment screen, and nothing on this website charges a card today.
Departments and agencies buying in quantity go through a different route again, with purchase orders and a W-9. That is on the Agency & Bulk Orders page.
Ordering Is Conditional
Every order is checked before anything ships. What we ask for depends on who you are, and the reasoning behind the whole process is set out on the Vetting page.
Two consequences worth stating plainly. An order is not accepted when you submit it; it is accepted when the check clears. And we can decline an order. If we do, you will be told, and you will not have been shipped anything.
- Submitting an order is an offer to buy, not a completed sale.
- We may decline an order, or ask for more, at our discretion.
- We do not publish delivery dates on this site. Ask us and you will get the current answer rather than a number written months ago.
Product Information And Availability
We try to describe what we make accurately, and the photography on this site is of the actual product. Even so: colors shift between screens, and what is available changes. A colorway shown here is not a promise that it is in stock on the day you look at it.
Nothing on this page or on the shop should be read as a claim that a banner meets a particular standard or certification. Where such a claim is appropriate we will make it explicitly, in writing, and name the standard. Until then, treat its absence as deliberate.
Payment And Sale Terms
This website does not currently take payment, so there are no payment terms to state yet.
When the cart goes live this clause has to say who takes the payment, when a card is charged relative to the credential check, what currency and taxes apply, and what happens to an authorization on an order that is later declined.
Those are not questions to improvise in a terms page. Until they are answered here, call 1-775-250-5523 and ask before you commit to anything.
Returns, Refunds And Cancellations
There is no published returns policy on this site, and we are not going to invent one here. Today a refund on a declined order is handled case by case, by the people who make the product, on the telephone.
This clause needs to state the return window, the condition a banner has to come back in, who pays return shipping, and whether a vetted, personalized order can be returned at all. Until it does, call 1-775-250-5523 and get the answer for your situation before you order.
Warranty
This is a safety product, and a warranty clause on a safety product is a serious document. It has to say what is warranted and for how long, what voids it, and what the remedy is. We are not drafting that in a website footer.
Nothing on this page limits or disclaims a warranty until this clause is written and reviewed. If warranty matters to your decision, ask on the telephone first.
Limitation Of Liability
Deliberately blank. A limitation of liability is the clause most likely to matter and least suitable for a placeholder, and a badly drafted one is worse than none at all. Counsel writes this one.
Intellectual Property
The product is covered by granted US Patent 8,191,748 B2. The DSM name, the wordmarks used on the product and on this site, the photography, the copy and the design of this website all belong to DSM Safety Products, Inc. or to the people we licensed them from.
- You may read, print and share these pages for your own use, or to make the case for the product inside your organization.
- You may not copy the product, the design, or this site’s text and photography into a competing product, listing or catalog.
- You may not use our marks in a way that suggests we endorse you, or that you are us.

Short list, and none of it will surprise you.
- Give accurate information, particularly in the credential check. A false credential is the one thing this whole process exists to catch.
- Do not try to break, scrape, overload or get into parts of this site that are not meant for you.
- Do not upload anything you do not have the right to upload.
- We can withdraw access to the site, or decline to deal, if any of the above happens.

Where this site links somewhere else, that site is not ours and these terms do not cover it. We link because the material is useful, not because we control what it says tomorrow.
Privacy
What happens to the information you give us, including an uploaded credential, is set out in the privacy notice. It is a separate document and it is worth reading before you upload anything.
Changes To These Terms
These terms will change, and the clauses marked above will change the most. The status line and the date at the top of this page tell you which version you are looking at. The terms that apply to an order are the ones published when the order was accepted.
Governing Law And Disputes
The company is in Nevada, which is the obvious starting point, but choice of law, venue and whether disputes go to arbitration are decisions with real consequences for a buyer. They get made by counsel and written here, not assumed from the company’s address.
