This page asks people to upload a police identification card. That deserves a straight answer about what happens to it, written the same way as the rest of this site, in plain English, with nothing dressed up.

No analytics, no advertising pixels, no session recording. There is no cookie banner because there are no tracking cookies to ask you about.

Who We Are
DSM Safety Products, Inc. designs and manufactures patented one-hand safety banners and sling sleeves for people who are not in uniform when an incident starts. We are based in Sparks, Nevada, and we are the ones who decide what happens to the information described here.

What This Notice Covers
This website, the orders placed on it, and the credential check that every order goes through. It does not cover other companies’ websites we link to.
What We Collect
When you place an order
- Your name and contact details: email address and telephone number, so we can reach you about the order or the check.
- Billing and shipping addresses: including a department or company address where the order is going to one.
- What you ordered: the designation, colorway and carrier, and the order’s history.
- The credential you upload: see section 05, which is the part of this notice most worth reading.
When you contact us
Whatever you put in the message, and the address or number you sent it from. If you call, we may write down what the call was about so the next person who picks up does not start from nothing.
Automatically, by the server
Our host keeps standard access logs: the request, the time, the IP address it came from, and the browser that made it. These exist to keep the site up and to see an attack when one happens. They are not used to build a profile of you.
What We Do Not Do
Worth stating plainly, because a lot of privacy notices are mostly about the opposite. As this site is built today:
- There is no analytics package on any page: no Google Analytics, no equivalent.
- There are no advertising or social pixels: nothing from an ad network, nothing that follows you to another site.
- There is no session recording and no heatmapping.
- There is no cookie consent banner, because there is nothing to consent to. The only cookies are the ones WordPress and the shop need to keep a basket and a login working.
If that ever changes, this section changes with it and the date at the top of the page moves.
Credentials And The Check
Every order is checked before anything ships. Depending on who you are, that means an agency identification card, a retired agency ID with a current qualification, a company license, service identification, or the purchase order itself. What we can tell you about how that document is handled today:
- It is uploaded at checkout, with the order, rather than emailed to us afterwards.
- A person reads it. Not a script, and not an upload box that accepts anything.
- You are told the outcome and the reason. Nothing is refused silently, and nothing is quietly held.
- It is used for the check and for nothing else. It is not used for marketing and it is not passed to another company to sell you something.
Three questions belong here and are not yet answered in writing: how long an uploaded credential is kept, who inside DSM can see it, and whether a copy is stored anywhere other than the shop itself.
We are not going to guess at those in a privacy notice. Until they are written here, call 1-775-250-5523 and ask: you will get a straight answer, and you can decide before you upload anything.
Payment
The payment provider for this store is being finalized. Once it is set, this section will name it and say plainly which card details reach DSM and which never leave the provider.
Refunds on a declined order are handled case by case at the moment; ask at the time and we will not leave you guessing.
Who Else Sees It
Running a shop means a small number of other companies necessarily touch some of this: the company that hosts the website, the carrier that delivers the parcel, and the payment provider that takes the money.
This section will name each of those companies and say what each one receives. It will also state the circumstances in which we would hand information to law enforcement or a court, which is not a sentence to draft loosely.
What we can say now: we do not sell your information, and we do not trade it for advertising.
How Long We Keep It
Order records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. The retention period for uploaded credentials is the open question in section 05 and will be stated here as a number of days or months, not as “as long as necessary”.
Your Choices And Requests
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live you may have a formal right to do so; we will treat the request the same way either way.
The written route for making a request (the address to send it to, what we need to verify it is you, and how long we take to answer) is being settled. Until it is here, telephone 1-775-250-5523 and say what you want and we will start it.
Children
These are identification products sold to credentialed adults. This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under eighteen. If you believe a child has sent us something, call us and we will remove it.
Changes To This Notice
When this notice changes, the status and date at the top of the page change with it. We will not backdate it.
